About the role

We are looking for an instructor for coding groups for children aged 8–14. Lessons start with a simple game in Scratch and gradually move to first programs in Python.

With this age group the main thing is keeping their interest alive, so lessons run as games, contests and small projects. Each child’s progress is shown to their parents every month.

If you are patient with children and can turn coding into play, this is for you.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of Scratch and Python basics
  • Experience working with children or a teaching background
  • Patience, warmth and the ability to hold a group’s attention
  • Able to build lessons as games
  • Comfortable communicating with parents

Responsibilities

  • Run lessons for children’s groups two or three times a week
  • Help every child finish a small project
  • Show results to parents once a month
  • Track attendance in the CRM

You will not just publish posts; you will show what works in numbers: reach, saves, enquiries from the page. A share of the students who join the centre will be the result of your work. Filming and editing equipment is provided by the centre.

    The Speaking Club meets twice a week and everyone speaks English only. We do not teach grammar here — the goal is to stop being afraid to speak. Evening work, so it suits students and people with a main job.
