About the role

Backend is one of the most demanding tracks at Mega School: students learn to write the server side from scratch, design a database and ship a working API. The course runs on Python/Django or Node.js — you work with whichever is closer to you.

Lessons teach thinking, not just syntax: how to store data, why a structure was chosen, how to track down a bug. So we need someone with real project experience who can show it through examples.

By the end of the course every student has a working, documented API.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years with Python/Django or Node.js
  • Able to design a database in PostgreSQL or MySQL
  • Experience building and documenting REST APIs
  • Practical knowledge of authentication, security and testing
  • Experience with Docker and deploying to a server
  • Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Run lessons and set practical assignments
  • Review students’ code and give feedback
  • Prepare final projects for presentation
  • Keep the syllabus up to date
  • Track attendance and results in the CRM

You will not just publish posts; you will show what works in numbers: reach, saves, enquiries from the page. A share of the students who join the centre will be the result of your work. Filming and editing equipment is provided by the centre.

    English Speaking Club host

    The Speaking Club meets twice a week and everyone speaks English only. We do not teach grammar here — the goal is to stop being afraid to speak. Your job is to pick the topic, steer the conversation and draw every participant in. Discussions, debates, role plays, film reviews — the format is up to you. Evening work, so it suits students and people with a main job.
